Oncologic Molecular Imaging
The Jan Grimm lab in the Molecular Pharmacology Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Center (MSKCC) in New York City focuses on the development of novel molecular imaging and therapy approaches for cancer. These approaches merge modern biology, nanotechnology, chemistry and physics. For imaging, we use modern imaging methods (optical, nuclear, optoacoustic and Cerenkov imaging) together with new imaging agents that allow much earlier detection and improved therapy monitoring of cancer. Since the PI of the lab (Dr. Grimm) there is a strong emphasis on clinical translatability of our research. Indeed, we have translated some of our methods into currently ongoing clinical trials
